One weekend, two events — both exploring the question:

“How do we bring the Word to life in the Cascadia region?”

On Friday, May 2, we will be hosting the second annual Christ & Cascadia Gathering, inviting leaders, community builders, activists, and artists to sit at the table together and discuss our calling and practices as people of faith in our unique region. Breakout sessions will invite folks to specific conversations, all having to do with how we are using scripture to create meaningful engagement in our communities. Join us at the end of the day for a happy hour on-site!

Then on Saturday, May 3, we are excited to launch the inaugural Reimagining Preaching Conference. This conference will equip experienced, lay, and new preachers to bring the Word to life by diving into preaching inspiration, tools, skills, and practices. Keynote speaker Rev. Dr. Teresa Fry Brown will ground our time together before we break into workshops that reimagine preaching through the lenses of text, soul, and culture.

Join us one or both days for meaningful connections, deep learning, and good coffee!

Christ & Cascadia fosters conversations about the opportunities and challenges facing the Christian faith in “Cascadia” (SE Alaska, British Columbia, Washington, Idaho, Oregon, and parts of Western Montana and Northern California). Through our online journal, we foster the exchange of ideas and best practices among Christ followers—to explore, imagine, and create the future of Christianity in Cascadia.
